I know how rampant the sudden craze to own a blog is at the moment. I mean, you may be feeling intimidated if you do not already own one.

Blogging to some people is an opportunity to help themselves and others. It somewhat helps regulate their lives while keeping them in check.

Some venture into it either just for the fun of it, because they have a passion they want to share, or as a full-time career.

But the question is, do you really need one? Can you merge it with your seemingly busy life?

I will be taking you through the various reasons why a writing style matters for your blog, and how to craft and improve yours.

Your mode of writing is key. You need to understand what your audience love to read.

You already know that writing, especially for a blog, without anyone to read can be heartbreaking. You have to ensure you sell yourself well starting from your writing style.

Do not bother using ambiguous words. A lot of followers and even visitors are never interested in your heavy choice of words. They just need an entertaining and captivating content.

You don’t want to lose them, do you? Ensure your writing style is captivating.

If looking to not lose active followers, ensure your writing style is not awkward and exhausting to the reader.

To build trust with your readers, ensure you use a conversational friendly style and the right command of grammar.

Writing is an art!

Ensure your writing style doesn’t make your blog look disorderly and difficult to comprehend. Your writing style should always look welcoming and inviting. That is the only guaranteed way to keep your audience’s mind busy and yearning for more.

This is because readers are more inclined to sync with a blog that is organized and coherent, than with a shabby-looking blog.

The first three minutes spent on your site by a reader determines whether he/she will continue, subscribe, or hiss and leave your site.

You need to make your site and its contents warm and welcoming.

Visitors need a little convincing to be interested in your blog. Once you can achieve this, it is easier to get them interested in your message or what you are selling to them.

The aim is to make them willing to grant any request of yours stated on your Call To Action.

First things first! Launching a blog automatically makes you a brand.

Now, you may be wondering “But how am I a brand?”

The moment you adopt a particular writing tone, remain consistent, and can be identified with it, you are a brand of your own.

Well, technically, once your blog is recognizable to people, you are a brand!

Also, a brand explicitly states what it’s all about, and so does your blog!

To be a brand, your content must have value.

Trust me when I say that your readers won’t be with you if you don’t give anything of value to them!

Carefully position your brand, taking insights from thriving rival blogs, and also fine-tuning yours to be even more standard.

Also, try to decipher what is expected of you from your target readers. It helps you further position your brand

If there is anything that will piss your readers off, it will be a boring writing style.

Make them key into the write-up. This means making your content engaging and looking like it is speaking directly to them.

That is being conversational!

A common rule in writing for comprehension is that a paragraph should contain no more than six sentences, with each paragraph having an average of four or five.

Your readers can sometimes be lazy and you don’t want them running off upon viewing the voluminous write-up you have left them.

That’s the reason for the short paragraph.

Break your paragraphs up often to further help your readers and where necessary, use bullet points.

Ensure your write-up has a good flow and is presentable.

Rule number one! Never use a long word where a short one would be most appropriate!!

This also applies to blogging.

Writing long words not only makes your readers bored, but also has the tendency of being off point, thus not having its message passed down.

Now, you don’t want that, do you?

Using short words easily gets your message across. It is direct and also easier to read and digest.

The truth is that your readers are only interested in what they hope to gain or achieve at the end of reading your write-up.

You don’t want to mess that up for them, do you?

We unconsciously enjoy reading certain blogging posts mainly due to the blogger’s writing tone.

Ensure you have your own unique tone in writing prior to making your first blogging work.

From being either humorous, educative, dry, romantic, sarcastic, dark, academic, etc., you need to set a particular tone of writing to be identified with and stick to it.

Your audience should be able to point out your works based on its familiar tone.

Having different tones of writing could turn them off.

Don’t just write and dump it on the readers.

Engage them!

But don’t ask too many questions.

Leave a question at the end of your write-up. You could coin a question out of a statement written.

Doing this is super simple and effective and surely will help lock your readers in.

Writing a successful blog isn’t difficult. Ensure you have basic grammar skills and a fantastic writing style.

Also, decide on a writing tone, and be consistent with using it. I suggest using Grammarly to improve and cross-check your grammar and sentences.

With the tips I have given you, you shouldn’t have a problem building your audience reach and creating captivating and persuasive blog posts.

I know how rampant the sudden craze to own a blog is at the moment. …

Have a unique tone
